Art Rosenbaum is a family and couple therapist, in private practice, in Owings Mills, Maryland. He received his Master of Social Work degree (MSW) from the University of Maryland School of Social Work. He also possesses a Master of Science degree in education (MS. Ed.), from Hofstra University, and a Bachelor of Science degree (BS) in Psychology from the State University of New York College at Cortland.
Art has been practicing for 30 years and has experience in inpatient, outpatient and emergency psychiatry. He is on the clinical faculty at the University of Maryland School of Social Work where he teaches courses in family therapy and couple therapy. As part of his practice, Art provides supervision and consultation to individual practitioners and family service agencies.
In addition to his general family and couple therapy practice, Art has developed a specialty in working with eating disordered clients and their families. He spent nine years as the family therapy consultant for the Center for Eating Disorders in Towson, Maryland, where he provided training for the inpatient clinical staff.
Art is currently serving as Chair of the National Ethics Committee for the National Association of Social Workers (NASW).
